Keukenstilleven met kast (Kitchen Still Life with Cupboard)

A crowded cupboard shelf holds a blue swing-top bottle, jars of pasta and walnuts, an egg, a glass bowl of olives, a Ryst canister and a white ceramic mouse, above a fall of fine cutwork lace. Glass, glaze, shell and dried twine are all distinguished by touch alone. A whole pantry of textures gathered into one patient picture.
