Appels (Apples)

Six red and gold striped apples cluster on a glossy pale top, their reflections pooling beneath them. The streaked, waxy skin and the bright catch-lights are caught with relish, the mirrored surface a soft second painting. Ripe colour and shine, and nothing else asked.
