Kist met brocante (Crate with Brocante)

Against an open wooden crate a whole cupboard of brocante gathers, an egg cup and lace, a Laga stoneware jar, a green wineglass, a red tin, a blue bowl of apples, brown eggs and turquoise scoops, with red tassels hung at the side. It is the Surrealist tabletop instinct, unrelated things collected until they begin to whisper to one another. Look long enough and the ordinary shelf seems to watch you back.
