Rozenbottels (Rose Hips)

A cluster of rose hips in red and orange, their dried sepals twisting up in wiry tufts, one unripe green among them, all doubled in the glossy table. The taut shiny skins play against the brittle dried stars on top. A hedgerow find, painted with the care of a jeweller setting stones.
