Blauwe bessen (Blueberries)

A loose drift of blueberries, a heap behind and a scatter of single berries rolling forward across the pale table, each dusted with a powdery silver bloom and crowned by its little dried star. The cool blue-blacks shift against the warm ground. A handful of small fruit arranged with an offhand, scattered grace.
