A grandmother in mid-century dress rides a winged camel across a desert sky, haloed by a sunburst, arms full of flowers, while cats surf flying carpets below. The winged horse Pegasus has carried poets and heroes since antiquity; Wiedijk hands the role to a camel, and grounds the whole miracle with a pair of wooden Dutch clogs on its feet. This is the lightest thing in the series and means to be. It asks nothing of you but delight, an ordinary woman granted her own private myth, and that weightlessness is the entire gift.
