Citroenen (Lemons)

Four lemons stacked in a small pyramid, their dimpled skins still freckled with green, each one mirrored in the glossy table. Wiedijk catches the waxy peel and its pitted texture, the sharp little highlights bouncing off it. Fresh from the tree, barely turned from green to gold.
