White button mushrooms heaped in a bright blue plastic tray, several toppled out in front and mirrored in the table. Wiedijk plays the cool white caps and stout stalks against that vivid blue, finding the faint bruises and earthy smudges on each. The humblest of vegetables, given full attention.
