Limoenen (Limes)

Four whole limes and one cut half rest on a glassy surface, their green skins drifting toward gold where the light lands. A soft mirrored reflection runs beneath them, a quiet show of skill. The cut half opens its wet, segmented translucence against all that opaque rind, which is the whole pleasure.
