Nachtwoud (Night Wood)

In a moonlit wood, two great stone faces on either side lean in with their eyes closed, watching over a clearing that glows like a fever dream. A girl and a drummer boy stand at the left, a woman at the right, while at the centre two tall insect-priests rise on spindly legs above a field of luminous mushrooms, and a rainbow arcs over it all. Everything shimmers, the fireflies, the glowing caps, the little birdhouses on their poles, a teddy bear climbing toward the light. It has the hush of a fairy tale at its most magical moment, a secret woodland rite you have stumbled into by accident, and the longer you look the deeper into the dream you go.
