Knoflook en oliekan (Garlic and an Oil Can)

A white enamel oil can rises behind a heap of garlic bulbs, their papery skins still trailing roots, on a red-painted crate. The chalky white enamel and the dry crackle of the garlic make a study in pale tones. Simple, and beautifully so.
